Navigating Indigenous Funding Programs: How to Access Resources for Your Community's Development
Indigenous businesses may find it helpful to access any of the funding programs listed below to support the launch and growth of their business. At Activ8, we have a long history of assisting new and existing entrepreneurs with accessing grant funds through various financial and government institutions.
What Indigenous Grant Funders Look For When Supporting An Indigenous Business
Grant funders want to see that an Indigenous entrepreneur has a commercially viable business idea, keeps accurate financial records, and is personally invested by contributing their own money. Full-time commitment to the business is crucial, as is having a strong business and marketing plan—or seeking funding to develop one. Good credit and financial stability are also key, as funders look for responsible money management. Entrepreneurs who demonstrate clear growth potential, proper business registration, and a commitment to scaling or job creation will have a higher chance of securing funding.
